Why Kids Don't Listen & What To Do About It
WORKSHOP - Content provides a clear understanding of (1) the motivations of children who 'tune out' when parents, teachers, or other adults speak; and (2) communication approaches that get 'adult deaf' kids to listen. Role plays develop skills that are immediately useful. Methods are positive, mutually respectful, and effective. (Ages 2-14)
Because seating is limited, you must pre-register and pay in advance to insure your placement in the class.
Fee: $30 Individuals, $50 parent couples.

Understanding and Using Logical Consequences Effectively
WORKSHOP - Especially helpful for those who wish to use a positive approach and logical consequences when discipline is required, but struggle to 'come up' with successful ones. Workshop highlights an in-depth look at the concept of logical consequences: participants learn the four R's of consequence effectiveness, and to recognize and avoid actions which can subtly sabotage even the best consequence. (Ages 3-14)

Tearless Discipline
The content of this three-session workshop features information which provides an understanding of child behavior and 'misbehavior', effective methods of preventing and correcting unacceptable behavior. Participants learn sound principles and proven methods which enable them to increase effectiveness in parenting or working with children. 'Tearless' discipline skills are immediately useful for eliminating power struggles, setting effective limits, and gaining cooperation - without reminding or yelling. Discipline approaches foster self-discipline, mutual respect, and promote positive self esteem - simultaneously. (Ages 2-14)

Fee: $60 Individuals, $90 parent couples.
